Clinical Therapist/Social Worker
Clinical Therapists/Social Workers deliver confidential and ethical direct services to clients and may provide individual, group, family, or other authorized therapy services. Clinicians also participate in treatment planning and ensure that any treatments delivered are within the scope of the clinician’s training, experience, and general level of competence. This is a fee for service position.
Assessing client needs and working with client/family to develop an appropriate treatment plan
Providing individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy in accordance with assigned client needs
Providing therapy to clients in accordance with applicable credentials
Maintaining collateral contact as appropriate
Developing and maintaining confidential client case records, notes, plans, and reports
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the agency, community, and referral sources
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Program from an accredited college or university
Full current licensure to practice independently within the state
Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families
Ability to make sound decisions in emergency/critical situations
Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment
Current malpractice insurance
We are a 3-year-old non-profit agency located in Presque Isle, which provides high quality mental health and substance abuse services for children, adolescents, adults and their families. Our mission is "Providing Quality Behavioral Healthcare for Everyone" and we are recruiting for a few more board members. Most importantly, new board members would have a passion for the mission of mental health and substance abuse services in the Aroostook County area. Additionally, any background experience in business and finance and/or any experience with grant writing and fundraising would be particularly desirable. Board members would be expected to contribute time to attend board meetings on a bi-monthly to quarterly basis.
